This here is a drawing guide for kids but can also be used by beginners. It's also one of the reference books I'm currently using.
The book contains step by step drawing guides to help you become a master. In fact my earlier post of Hoshiko was made with the help of one of the earlier parts of the book. So if your starting out I suggest getting yourself a copy.
